Here's another one...

Which store do you use to buy your music, assuming you buy it.

There's nothing like holding the original CD in your hand.

Yeah, I rip all mine at the quality I want. But I'd be considered a pirate for how I keep my music on a home network. Lame.

Pirating is illegal, the UN says so
In the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) of 1982, "maritime piracy" consists of:

(a) any illegal acts of violence or detention, or any act of depredation, committed for private ends by the crew or the passengers of a private ship or a private aircraft, and directed:

(i) on the high seas, against another ship or aircraft, or against persons or property on board such ship or aircraft;
(ii) against a ship, aircraft, persons or property in a place outside the jurisdiction of any State;

(b) any act of voluntary participation in the operation of a ship or of an aircraft with knowledge of facts making it a pirate ship or aircraft;
(c) any act of inciting or of intentionally facilitating an act described in subparagraph (a) or (b).[76]
Anyway back on topic, I like Amazon's selection and use them exclusively.

I bought one song off of Zune, and one off of iTunes - I can't really decide which way I want to go.

For the most part, I like to have a physical copy of the CD and just rip that to FLAC. Get yourself a nice 80gb 5th gen iPod for cheap, stick rockbox on there and you're set.

Same (physical CDs either thru Amazon, Target or Costco), except I also keep a lower-quality copy of my library (320kbps MP3 or 256kbps AAC) for listening on portable devices. I've only tried three portable players so far (Sony PSP, Toshiba Gigabeat F and iPhone) and using the same headphones, the PSP sounded the best, followed by the Gigabeat (official or rockbox firmware were on par with each other) and the iPhone was dead last. I use the iPhone most often, though. *sigh* Yet another win for convenience over quality.

The FLACs are for playback thru the home stereo system. :)

check out deepdiscountcd.com. They have some pretty good deals on CDs and they don't charge for shipping (it takes a while to get it if you choose free shipping though).

If you only listen to tunes while at your pc then a great (ad-supported so it's legal) streaming program is spotify.

Or Pandora, I got to mess around with pandora for a bit, and it was pretty cool for finding new artists to listen to.

I abuse the hell out of Pandora, I even have it on my phone now (hax from sprint to ATT) - I heart it.
