Dual Video Card Question

I've just finished building a reasonable rig for the price.
However, I'm curious whether it's better to have my one video card running at PCI-E x16 or get a second one and run them together at a x8 speed.
I'd appreciate some feedback whether this is really worth the money or not.

I do graphic design and 3D rendering, if that helps.

Cheers!

It depends on whether or not the programs you use will take advantage of dual cards. What are the specs of the computer and what programs are you using?

To me, it's definitely NOT worth the money. Just get the best single card solution you can afford.
