Mic issue with X-fi/Vista

Post by InspectahACE »

Hey guys, I bought me one of them Tritton 5.1 headphones today but as I noticed from when I tried to use a difference mic before, my sound card seems to not detect the mic. I remember card used to have the mic plug separate(pink) but now it's the "line-in/mic" plug(blue). I can't seem to get Vista to realize that it's not the line-in and use the mic. Any ideas on how i can do this? I wanted to use the mic for left 4 dead and gta and such

Is your software updated? Unfortunately I've found that the best way to get the X-Fi Titanium Fata1ity working is to install the CD then use Creative's auto update utility to update their software.

With my older Audigy I could just grab the latest drivers off the web but this card loses features if I go that route.

its funny u answered this quick. I actually fixed the issue bout 5 minutes ago..had to download and install teh Creative Console Launcher. It was what enabled the mic in port..They call it the FlexiJack. .Thanks for the help though. If i saw this before I resolved it I'm sure I would've ended up the same spot :)
