CPU HSF Backplate - Thumbs Up!

After my PC decided to kill itself with a BIOS flash I ordered a new motherboard and the Crossbow backplate adapter for my Xigmatek HSF. When I went to remove my HSF one of the corners was not secured very well so I have no idea what kind of contact it was actually making with the CPU.
Here is what I was limited to before the backplate:
And the after with the backplate:
While it isn't much difference it is nice to know that I have good contact with my CPU. I am running the same voltage to obtain the new clock (1.265v) and my idle and load temperatures have gone down several degrees (Celsius).
Why Intel or more specifically aftermarket heatsinks do not come with the backplate standard is both shameful and annoying.
With the higher overclock though I had to loose 4GB of RAM. It didn't like going past the 450Mhz mark without a ton of voltage. With the new higher clock I don't know that it could remain stable where it is clocked now. The good news is I ditched Vista x64 for XP x64 so I don't really need 8GB of RAM any more.
