I've never heard of the brand. Maybe it isn't sold in America? I know that Nokia is huge in Europe but not very well established here in the States.

Re: Just bought an Imate ultimate 6150 3g Smart phone
So it looks like it has win mobile 6. See if there is an upgrade to 6.1. I had win mobile 6 and 6.1 on my last phone and 6.1 was much improved. With that said I hate windows mobile with a passion and will try not to flame too much.
Things I didn't like
1) Constantly having to reboot the phone (at the worst 6-8 times a day!)
2) Random lockups when making/receiving calls
Things I liked
1) Lots of free apps!
2) Can easily edit the registry to make things run smoother.
3) Great support for M$ Exchange - setting up outlook email is so freakin easy.
Good luck with your new phone. Personally I don't think I would ever own another win mobile based phone, but hopefully yours won't be as buggy as mine was.

Re: Just bought an Imate ultimate 6150 3g Smart phone
Certainly, no problem. There is a ton of info on the net and places dedicated to win mobile. I found quite a few good resources that were specific to my phone and the OS it was running. It's nice to see what others have done and what works and doesn't. I'm not familiar with the brand you got, so I don't really know what else to give ya. OH, if you are a "space trader" fan, it is available for that version of win mobile
I've killed a lot of time in meetings playing that game

Re: Just bought an Imate ultimate 6150 3g Smart phone
Good news after having a look around Imates website i was able to find that they have a utility that upgrades it using my desktop pc as a bridge. The stupid phone didnt come today. The company i bought it off Harris Technology where a little puzzled that teh card name was my brothers name and not mine, i explained to them and i still had to prove to them i didnt steal the card so i had to scan it next to my brothers drivers license and mine. Oh well heres to monday!

Well long storyt short after the company screwed round with me for a bit i told them to stick it and i ended up buying a LG Renoir from all phones here in Australia, so far its a pretty good phone!
