I was just wondering if this would be a good motherboard. I have been looking around for a decent one and this seems ok but, I was wondering if anybody used one. Some say for over clocking is a big no no with it because you can't change the voltage much. here is my plan

1.ASUS M4A78 Plus AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
2. Phenom II x4 955 BE
3. OCZ Reaper 1066 DDR2 4 gig.
4.XFX GTX 260 BE 896 MB
5.Raidmax Aurora 700w power supply
6.Raidmax Tornado computer case.

Also If I got this would it be better to just get 2 gig and go 32-bit for now until windows 7 or get a 64-bit and run all the ram I want?

Decent setup but I would consider this PSU.

After rebate it is similarly priced and you cant go wrong with OCZ!

You can use the 4G of RAM now on a 32bit OS and it should recognize 3.25G which is much better than 2G and when Win7 comes out and you wish to go 64bit you can!

Hi, I agree with comaroguy, Raidmax are not very good PSU, they don't have the stability like OCZ has.

To me no, I think you'll be better getting a Gigabyte board.
What budget do you have? Because it look like you could get a board that uses DDR3 ram.

Stay with XP until Win 7, you can preorder Win 7 Pro from Newegg for $99.99, it ends July 11 09 which you have until midnight. Win 7 is better than vista, I have bin testing Win 7 Bata and RC. I think it's worth the wait.

I have 2 Gigabyte based comps and 2 ASUS based comps also!
I could go either way on the brand of board, they are both great quality brands!
I will say this...The oldest comp in my house is Gigabyte based!(7-8 yrs old)
