Recommend me a wireless mouse

I have a Logitech Revolution MX that is about 20 months old. I love it, but the battery no longer holds a charge. It is probably the most comfortable mouse I have ever used.
One of my two complaints is that when I play a game, my thumb buttons can only used for a single press and not a hold. For example, if I wanted to use my thumb button as a VOIP button in a game, I can't. The reason is because it presses it and lets it go, as opposed to it holding it down as long as I hold the button.
The other complaint is that I can't replace the battery when it dies. Paying $75 is a lot for a mouse that won't allow you to change the batteries.
Oh and two other minor complaints: The thumb wheel can't be re-mapped, unless you want to lose the cool Vista flip 3D screen. The other small one is that the receiver needs to be within a foot or two or it seems to get a poor signal.
Maybe someone can explain how to get the mouse to transmit a hold and not a press.
Anyways, does anyone have any recommendations for a wireless mouse to replace this. If I can get the button issue fixed, I'd consider getting another Revolution MX.
I was thinking a G7, but it appears it only has 1 thumb button.
