Internet is spazzing out and making me crazy

Post by hercules71185 »

Every time I try to stream a video, it cuts out. I have multiple computers on the network and my computer seems to be the only one with issues. I've replaced my wireless card. I've directly connected with a wired connection. And no matter what I do I can now watch a full TV show on hulu for anything. I use testmy.net and I get 150% of the average comcast user or 15-18mb/sec. It never lasts long though. It spikes then goes to nothing. Making me have to use the microsoft troubleshoot everytime it goes out. Typically I need a new IP address, and if it's not that it says everything is ok I just can't connect to the server.

Uninstall and reinstall TCP/IP. Almost sounds like a WindSock error.

If you decide to rebuild TCP/IP, instructions for an automated rebuild or a manual rebuild can be found here!

2 people on my TF2 team had this occur tonight during our match for CEVO, as did two opponents(had to constantly stop our match because of it), wonder how broad this is?

Working for an ISP I can say It's a pretty common failure. Usually doing the "Repair Connection" option is enough to get Windows to purge TCP/IP. Othertimes you'll have to rebuild the entire TCP/IP stack and to do that you need to uninstall and reinstall TCP/IP globally on the computer.

I'm not sure what it is anymore, it seems to be fine now, but I have had 4 of my customers call me and complain about the same thing. I reset my modem and wireless router at the same time. When I was about to test it I had to leave the house for the day and never got to see if that helped. But, when I got home last night and used the internet. I watched 4 TV shows on hulu.com downloaded some of my medical books and lectures. And no problems at all. But, we do only have 2 of our computers online right now. My girls netbook has suffered a broken screen and will be repaired tomorrow when the kit is in. If that is the root of the problem... I'll post back and see if somehow 3 computers on my network is too much somehow.
