Here is a picture of my pc.



As you can see my graphics cards are close together and the one on top gets hardly if any air to cool itself down, also this is my main card the one that gets used the most and when playing high end graphical games it gets between 80-90C and the one on the bottom gets to 60-65C. so what i'm asking is can i somehow get my pc to use the bottom card as the main card and then that should keep my cards cooler.

i have a similar problem, only the bottom card gets hot because the mobo PCIe slot puts the hs ON teh bottom of the case(good game 750i )



only solutions i've found was either remove a card, or MOAR COOLING!!!!

(i sit at 75C and 92C when folding on both)

I am 99% sure that you can set the primary card in the nvidia control panel. I will check on my rig later when I can but someone may beat me to it.

i have checked and cant get the nvidia control panel to set any of the cards as primary. is there any other solution to help my cards cool without spending much if any money!

Under set sli and physX you can select the sli focus monitor. I plugged my monitor into my bottom card and it took a moment for the screen to come up but it did. I enabled sli and since I am on only one monitor, the bottom card should be primary. Hopefully that will solve your heat issues.

i found that if you just go into display settings you will see 1 and 2 as the graphics cards. I was then told to plug monitor into bottom card and then right click 2 and click attached then right click 2 again and click primary then right click 1 and click attached now bottom card is my primary but for some reason when i go into a game that doesn't use sli, then it should use my bottom card and not the top, but the bottom card increases heat from 45c to 54c and top card from 57c to 80c which merans for some reason top card is somehow still my primary with it being set not to be used when running non sli compatible games.

How is this possible?
