I just got some OCZ Freeze thermal compound and applied it to my cpu and it has cooled it down from IDLE 33C to 30C and MAX LOAD 52C to 50C so thats pretty good. What i want to know is can i use OCZ Freeze on my GPU see my sig for details.

You should have no problem doing so because Thermal Compound is just a liquid that has metallic flakes in it to help transfer heat from the CPU/GPU to the Heatsink so that air may draw the heat away from the initial source.

I haven't tried OCZ TC yet, I've always been a fan of Artic Silver but I'll try it!

I always use non-metallic thermal compound for my GPU... If it conducts it isn't touching my exposed GPU die that usually has components around it.

If you put too much compound on and it leaks out hitting the open components around the GPU you could blow up your card with conductive compound.

well i did the tests on both cpu and gpu with my old thermal compound (unnamed)
CPU: IDLE 33C MAX LOAD 52C GPU: IDLE 56C MAX LOAD 88C

Also did the test with my new thermal compound (OCZ Freeze)
CPU: IDLE 30C MAX LOAD 47C GPU: IDLE 50C MAX LOAD 79C

That i think is quite good i mean i spent £5 and shaved off 5C on my CPU and 9C on my GPU. What do you guys think?

I think that's pretty impressive! I'll defiantly be using OCZ on my next build if these numbers are true.
