Rather than speculate on prices, I would recommend that you comparison shop on ebay to get the "going" rate on your used equipment.
I took a quick peek and the Vostro 1500's were in the $350-$550 price range.
With the Dell laptop, you can also cross reference the Dell Outlet store for additional pricing information.
Once again, I took a peek and they didn't have the 1500. They have the 1510's starting at $470...not exact, but gives you an idea.
As a last resort, you can always check craigslist prices, but obviously that would be your least reliable option.

I saw a 1520 for $619 , but it had "scratch and dent" damage and an inferior video card (128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS). Will have to wait for more input from people.

I agree with ibleet - ebay is a very good way to see what something will actually sell for. Just because it might be worth $800 doesnt mean you will actually be able to sell it for that price!
Also, most people dont look for anything other than a built in video card on a laptop unless they are a gamer - from my personal experiences anyway.

Remember, I am opinionated and nothing I say or do reflects on anyone or anything else but me
