Here we are again, this time around 2000 are getting the axe. On the plus side, the old resume is pretty much up to date. Guess that's what happens when every 8-12 months this crap rolls around.

It has to do something to grab those people from Virgin Mobile.

Honestly the Virgin move isn't causing this. We're still losing more customers than we're adding, and that's it. Anyway, I heard the numbers for my organization as a whole and it doesn't sound too bad. Still waiting to hear what the numbers are for my director. Just part of the industry

My industry, aviation, has taken a huge hit as well thanks to this crap economy and everyone's new bestest friend, Barrack Obama, who couldn't keep his foot out of his mouth when he slammed Corporate America for buying business jets. We have another major layoff coming this Friday and I'm hoping and praying that the good Lord will allow me to retain my job. They just announced shutting down one of our facilities in another state and now we're going to get hit hard....again. We've already lost somewhere around four thousand jobs since the beginning of this year and if we loose anymore not sure how we can keep building aircraft.

Sorry to hear about your circumstance.

On the plus side I just got word that my union has signed a contract with AT&T. So for the first time in 6 months I know I get to keep my job.

Sorry to hear about your situation Sprog.

Lol, no biggy, it happens every 8-12 months  I just get really negative for a few weeks, and then if I make the cut I'll have an even worse attitude. The workers keep getting cut, but I don't see the required workload going down. I think that sometimes it's almost worse to survive. Anyway, I will know more in early December. For now it's just a bunch of execs blowing smoke about how good we are doing and keep up the good work and stay focused. Yeah, I'll get right on that :finga:

I really should have put this in the initial post: Who else out there is going through this again? I know Razor and I aren't the only ones.

@BigBlock - Thanks dude, hope it's working out for you.
