I don't know what I did but the taskbar of my laptop used to be transparent, but now it is solid, and when I point the pointer on the minimized programs, it would have a preview anymore, it went back to the old xp style taskbar. Can any body help me to set the taskbar back to the default?

off the top of my head I would say you turned off Aero somehow. right click your decktop and select personalize- look there for the settings.

right click the taskbar and turn aero-peek back on.
If it is grayed out, then you have to turn Aero back on - right click desktop, left click personalize, and there ya go

If something went funny with your drivers (I've had times when going to Personalize doesn't bring it back), type "problems with transparency" and press Enter. This brings up the Aero Troubleshooter, which can restart services and what-have-you automatically should something minor go wrong under the hood.

That's interesting. I wonder whether the spammer was trying to gain legitimacy by posting an actual technical question or the spammer actually had a problem.

They'll try anything to get people reading/replying to their threads.
