I'm considering buying one with the following specs:

Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-720QM quad-core processor [1.6GHz, 6MB L2 cache]
FREE UPGRADE! 6GB DDR3-1066MHz SODIMM [2 DIMMs] from 4GB
750GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT230M, and game console connections
Slot-load SuperMulti DVD Burner
Wireless-N LAN card and Bluetooth(R )
6-in-1 memory card reader, 5 total USB, audio
No TV Tuner
Integrated high-performance 2.0 speakers always included (No external speakers)
HP low-profile, wireless keyboard and HP wireless optical mouse
Microsoft(R) Works 9.0
FREE UPGRADE! Norton Internet Security(TM) 2010 - 3 year from 2 year
HP Home & Home Office Store in-box envelope

I haven't found any bad reviews, but I was wondering what you had to say about them? This will become our family PC and will replace my other one, which I will be parting out soon and will be posting it on the Trader section. Please, be brutally honest as I value your opinions and want to know what you think before I drop $1500.00 on this.

Thanks,

It depends on the use (programs/email-web-outlook-excel-word/games), who will use it (age/computer-knowledge), how often do you change your computer. The touch-screen is something you really need?
At first sight looks expensive to me.

For 1500$ you'll probably find a similar laptop, with the advantage of being a laptop. I don't know if its allowed to talk about other sites but anandtech and tomshardware usually make "computers you can build for around" 1000, 1500, 2000 bucks. Take a look.

I prefer Microsoft Office to Microsoft Works. Other than that, it looks great. I'm no expert though.
