inverter question

Post by bubba »

ok, my work builds machines for soil sampling.. well one of our customers has requested that we install an inverter for a PC system to be put on the machine when its in use.

dont know the system specs, other than its not a notebook.

what would you guys think would be a good amp rating for a inverter 12vdc to 110vac. I was thinking around 20amp but that is a $400 inverter.

as to why its not a lappy, dont know. I have learned to stop trying to figure out the thought behind some customers requests.

I doubt that your going to need more than 5 amps.
