Any Cisco heads in the house?

There's no networking sub-forum, so posting here.

I'm currently studying for my CCNA cert (among other things) and was wondering if there's any Cisco heads here?
I'm getting my hands on a few Catalyst switches and will be ordering a 881W-GN-A-K9 router soon for my WAN link.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collate ... 59542.html

I'd love to see some other Cisco heads online as I'd like to have someone I could bounce some questions off to later on.
I'm going to see if I can sit the first ICND1 exam by the end of March / mid-April, with a view to have the CCNA by summer.

I'm also working hard on Unix (Freebsd) and various other server tech and security, so if any members are having probs feel free to ask.

It's all part of my 5yr plan to get the hell outta dodge and start earning some proper € so I can think about buying a house.

Thanks
Ken

Sorry but I dropped my Java C++ class in college two weeks into the course.

Good luck to you though.

I am currently in college for a networking degree obviously focusing on cisco. I took the CCNA back in highschool, but oh man, how things have changed in nearly 10 years. lol

Good to know :partyman:

Yeah the tech has changed, but for the better. Now everywhere you look it's VLAN this & that.
Cisco also made the CCNA harder by splitting it into two exams.
The funny thing is, I don't even want to go the networking route. I'm just going for this as I need some certs.
I've got ~9 years experience in IT, but don't even have a college diploma or cert; not even the A+ cert ;)
