i recently got a NZXT Lexa S crafted, and paired it with an ASUS M4A79XTD EVO mobo, and it doesn't have enough fan connectors for the case. i can only use 3 out of the 4 case fans (there's a top intake, rear exhaust, front intake, and a side exhaust i think) so which configuration would give me the best airflow?
parts:
sapphire radeon hd 4850
phenom ii x4 955, not overclocked
WD caviar green 500gb
LG 24x dvd rewriter with lightscribe
edimax wireless N pci card
OCZ AMD black edition ddr3 1600MHz 2gbx2
motherboard and case are above.
too many fans for motherboard
Re: too many fans for motherboard
i'd go side-top-rear, the front fans usually do little to nothing as the front panel/mesh usually chokes it up pretty good, front fans usually go bad first too
(side fans you generally want as intake)

Re: too many fans for motherboard
schweet, i'll keep that in mind.
but is there a way i can connect all of my fans, with a fan-connector hub thingy? also, the case includes these cables labeled "1" and "2", what do those do?

Re: too many fans for motherboard
I personally think it's always better to have more exhaust fans than intake. I'd rather it expel the hot air than bring in fresh air that stagnates. My $0.02. Ideally you want the a little more exhaust than intake to create the ideal convection airflow (if I remember correctly).
EDIT
Added 3 pin to 4 pin adapter. I've purchased a lot from this place and shipping is very reasonable. This adapter has the option of running the fan at 5v (quiet) or 12v (full power).
