Re: Netbooks
You're talking a netbook right?
$900 is sorta overkill for a netbook unless you wanted a $500 SSD in one.

Re: Netbooks
if we can get a good laptop for 900$ or less then we could go that way too. i guess we should say netbook or laptop. which is best for under 900$
Re: Netbooks
Laptop all the way, this coming from a netbook owner (ASUS 1000HA).
Laptop advantages:
Good resolutions
Full size keyboard
Real CPU
Better onboard video
and the list goes on
Netbook advantages:
Small size and lightweight
Terrific battery life
Will run most day-to-day applications more than adequately

Ya, also tell us what you plan to do with it. If you want the long battery life with a slightly more powerful CPU, check out the ASUS UL series.

Re: Netbooks
14" ASUS UL80Vt - $786
15" ASUS UL50Vt - $795
Both offer 12-ish hour battery life at near idle.
Otherwise, you can get a netbook with a 12 hour near idle battery life for under $400 like the ASUS 1005PE at around $360

Re: Netbooks
Don't most new laptops come with a built-in webcam? I see that is one of your requirements but I don't think it's hard to find.

Re: Netbooks
Do not get a netbook for that price. Get a laptop. You will be sorely disappointed with a netbook's performance. Everyone I know who has owned a netbook hates them.

Re: Netbooks
I've only played around a little bit with a netbook but for me the keyboard was just too small.
