I already have a 5770 vapor-x, although I'm still on DX10 until i get Win7. So, given that; what's better value for money...
buy another 5770 vapor-x (extra $200 AU) & crossfire 2x 5770,
OR
buy a 5850 vapor-x (extra $400 AU) - then Hybrid Xfire with my 5770 (should it push performance, If even possible). I can't say I've found a review for any such hybrid.
Which brings me to my next hyperthetical question:
What happens when you Xfire X3 card of any same sort? Does it even boost performance further or is it economically insane?

If I recall you can't crossfire a 57XX with a 58XX card. I tried that when they first came out and it didn't work.

i'd get another 5770

I agree with everyone else. Stick with another 5770. I've noticed the 5770's have slowly dropped their prices. The Vapor-x is a nice series btw!

Re: Vapor-x 5770 Xfire 5850
thanks for the advice guys, i'm going with another 5770 - it leaves budget for other upgrades.
And yeah - I really like Sapphire. ATI cards offer more alternative and innovation; this is where I've turned away from Nvidia cards in a big way.
I don't know how or why Sapphire keep prices down, but they're always good value for money.
thanks again.
