Having Some Possible TF2/GPU Trouble

Post by deleted »

I've been playing TF2 recently and noticed I'm getting absolutely terrible framerates. I can look in the direction of action even if it's behind 2 buildings or walls and still lag. My specs are in sig and my GTS 250 is slightly overclocked as well as my E2220 @ 3.0ghz. Is my power supply not providing enough power (It should be, I checked the 12v rails and they added up to like 38w with just a 530w PSU). Any help at all appreciated !!!

TF2 has nothing to do with graphics, you get bad rates unless you have your CPU above 4GHz basically

also, for TF2 i use my 9600 GSO instead of my GTX 260-216 because the 260 is choppier, not even kidding, my Phenom II X2 is the bottleneck at 3.9GHz

That's kind of weird... the game isn't very fun at 30fps lol...

i've had to play two matches last week on a pentium4(15-25fps). lag(graphics or otherwise) seems far worse when you're being depended upon

i get 150-300fps, but its still choppy as hel,

for fps boost: insert in autoexec.cfg file (notepad file, save as type: "All Files" with autoexec.cfg as the name)in tf/cfg folder

Code: Select all

will help if you don't have a config, you may or maynot see a difference in performance, edit out commands as you wish, delete file to be back to normal(ish)
