The Ultra 850 Watt PS i won that was used in a build for my sons gaming system blew up! So, he didnt have a great weekend (and by extension me either) and of course the 550 i had sitting around wouldnt boot the system, i just hope nothing else got blown in the course of the PS blowing up.....

how long did it last?

Well, i won it here in the Nov contest and got it mid December, didnt actually put it in the new build till i had all the parts. dont have exact dates here, but i figure somewhere between 8 and 10 Months.

no , i won it here and all the products i have registered require an invoice.......

That sucks, still would be worth it to contact them and see what they say. You can always point to this forum as to when you received the unit.

They got back to me and said they would need all the information from you to handle it, guess i'll just toss it.

They just recently got back to you? If that's the case the their customer service needs an overhaul.

Note to self, do not buy Ultra products. If they inded took that long to respond that tells me that they have a lot of failing products and swamped or the customer service really sucks.

I have a used Corsair hx1000 ps. that I will sell you for 100 bucks + shipping. Just a thought.

Thanks, i replaced it with a Corsair which is pretty much all i buy for systems. I was using the Ultra because i won it here....that will teach me, and that's why i don't have the i7 in my sig.....

That would be great since they pretty much blew me off ....

I got in touch with Ultra and they will take care of you...

They need to know your shipping info/number and all that stuff. They also want to know if you have any of the original shipping info.

They just called me and found the original order... Just need a confirmation on the address and you have a new PSU on the way.
