I am torn between the Klipsch pro-media ULTRA 5.1 and the logitech z-5500. Both are excellent speakers, but i guess my deciding factor will be peoples real experiences with these speakers. Right now i have the klipsch 4.1.

Also if there are new speakers out there that i dont know about that are better than these for about the same price let me know too. I Appreciate all input!!!

I have one of the Logitech speaker systems Z-5300 (I think, I'm currently at work so I can't look) and it sounds great. I'm getting some buzzing from my sub only realyll heavy bass but I think it's something I have sitting next to it...I haven't taken the time to investigate.

I thought I read somewhere that Logitech has a new wireless speaker system but it doesn't seem to be on their site. That would be awesome for me if the sound quality is good. Some wireless speaker set ups have a frequency range that limits the frequency range of the sound output. I heard of rumors a while back about bluetooth speakers but I haen't seen any out. But I digress. I hear Klipsch are good too. Check around for some reviews on the web to see what others think.

That's the same system I have. I've been very happy with it. A wireless system would be awesome if it could support the ranges.

The nice thing about the Logitec is the number of inputs, you can plug damn near anything into them :)

yeah, well i mainly use them for gaming. No way in heck would i get wireless. Clarity would degrade dirastically. For really great sound you gotta have a cable. That also means batteries!!! EWWWWWW LOL But as far as these 2 systems go, anyone used them before?

I have Logitech® Z-5300e i love it. works great. I had the version below it before. worked great as well. sold it to a buddy and got the upgrade. no complaints at all with the logitech one.

well if it comes to sound quality then I would definetly go with a company that specializes in making high end speakers which is klipsch in this case

Huh?

Now for my opinion: I have heard both, and I ended up sticking with the Z-5500's. I have not looked back. I doubt there are any other speakers on the market that can match the Z-5500's in their price range.

yeah. well klipsch does speacialize in speakers and i can get them for a great price. i think i am leaning more towards the klipsch. i prefer to have brand that speacializes in something. (you know like that commercial where the guy goes in for an interview for dentist or something and has all these qualities, non of which are with dentistry) my 4.1's sound awesome and i think the upgrade would be worth it. I guess IF i get them i can post a review here or something for yall?!? That is IF. i do. lol lots of money is to be spent! LOL

well yeah by all means do a review on those boxes. with all due respect, logitech might be doing great when it comes to mouses and other PC accesories, but can't come close to a company producing high-end speakers for a long time. what you think audiophile?

How about buying both, and returning the one you don't like as much.

yeah.. excellent idea, except i am purchasing online. the ont bacd thing about that is returning things. However i guess i can buy the logitech at bestbuy or something like that and return them.
