does overclocking reduce the life of your processor?

yes, running more voltage through it and at higher clock speeds does lessen the life span. It could days or months, but with most processors for years and years it really is a non-issue.

it really depends on the specific hardware and how hard you push it, but moderate overclocking (<1GHz above stock) on newer tech (Phenom II or Core2 wolfdale or better) can run great for years
