It's not released yet, but might be by the end of this month.

Pre-Order @ $59.99 Shipped

I saw this keyboard at Quakecon 2005 and it did look pretty sweet.

The Logitech® G15 keyboard offers gamers an unprecedented level of in-game information, programmability and control. Its adjustable-tilt, backlit LCD display shows you crucial information during game play, and lets you set timers to keep track of game events. The 18 programmable G Keys allow you to execute macroslike casting spells in World of Warcraftwith a single button press, and the backlit keys are great for lights-out play. The G15 also features a switch that turns off the 'Windows' key, so hitting that button accidentally won't end your game. The Logitech® G15 keyboard is completely customizable to help you play better. Try it and you'll never go back to a standard keyboard.

in the words of Stewie on Family Guy: "hooooly crap"

I wonder if it would work well on a FPS as well; use the macro buttons for strafing and firing?

I have the Saitek Eclipse keyboard and really like it so far. Nice and heavy.

Here's a review of that keyboard. http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1 ... 600,00.asp

As for me, I perfer my cheap logi ultraflat keyboard to any other I've ever used. I actually have a spare just in case. I noticed it's the same one used on the test setup on the recent vapochill micro review here on legit reviews. http://legitreviews.com/article.php?aid=257&pid=4

Buying a keyboard without trying it first is silly.

Yeah, that's the only reason I ever set foot inside a computer retail store.

The ability to feel and hold a peripheral in your hand is something you can't get online.

I guess Amazon was selling cheap because of damaged boxes. Other than that 59.99 for fulling functional retail isnt bad.

edit:// as of right now i dont know if it is worth the full $79.99. the g keys are nice and so is the lcd. The g-keys really are nothing more than extra function keys.(i.e. launch aps, games, folders, or even keystrokes like ctrl-c) With that in mind i dont play games like WoW where key strokes are big to cast spell or whatever. So in FPS games like CS or BF2 they really dont offer that much. "As of right now" And the LCD is great but not a major necesity, again, "as of right now" when they come out with the macros and all that fun stuff it will be worth every penny. Right now all it can display is the Clock, which is already in the sys tray and i also have many clocks in my room. And it also displays Sys info, ram and cpu only. 2 things i really dont care that much about. Yes its nice to know, but not worth 79.99. The Media info is nice however, it shows song info just like that of I-tunes at the top where it shows the song name and artist. It is Heavy weighing in at about 7lbs and as you can see in the picture is huge. It Doesnt leave you much room at lans, espesially if you bought one of those 30$ razor mouse pads at Qcon like i did. Thats my first thoughts/expeirences/ quick review so far.

All and all its heavy, big and not worth the 79.99 right now. When they come out with the macros for it, it will be, in my opinion. If you like your keyboard and you can live it for a little while longer, hang out until more software updates come out for it.

so, what you're saying is that it's not really worth it, but you're trying hard to justify why you spent $80 on a keyboard ;-)

i had a thought about those lcd keyboards.... how the hell do you clean them? you'd probably ruin the keyboard if you tried popping off the keys in order to clean your keyboard.

well i payed 60 bucks for it. I needed a new keyboard anyway, my mx700 duo was dying on me. Right now i dont think it is worth the money for all it can do, but when they come out with the macros for all the games and whatever else anyone can think of it most deffientally will be. But for 60 bucks im not complaining at all!

Also Hard OCP is all over this....
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php ... ge=1&pp=20

And one of thier members made a mini site for it....
http://www.g15mods.com/

Im not a programmer, if i was i would be all over it myself. But that is where i play part of american and leach off of others. LOL JK
