Monitors for my Eyefinity set up that I am trying to get all three monitors to be matched. I was using 1 Asus Vw246 monitor with 2 Acer 24" monitors. The two Acer monitors started acting strangely by blinking on and off occasionally, also I could not find a third matched monitor from Acer as the mondel I was using got discontinued because of issues regarding flickering or blinking on and off. So instead of dealing with an RMA, and not being able to find a 3rd matched monitor, I decided to just by a completely new monitor set up. This time I went with Asus' ML248 LED monitors. I will post up more pictures later on today but here is the newest monitor I received today.

So far all i have are 2 of these monitors.

Here are some more pictures of this monitor unfortunately I have to use Image Shack.

Image
What we get with the ML248 monitor The monitor (which is faced down), upper left corner an AC/DC power supply brick, this is not the standard power cord we seen with other monitors. This monitor only uses <30 watts. To the top right of the picture we get a D-Sub VGA cable, and a DVI-HDMI cable. The two bottom rings are the monitors stand, this monitor does not support VESA monitor mounting, and also there is not vertical adjustment.

There is no tools needed to install the monitor stand.

Looking at the rear IO ports. From left to right, is the power connector from the AC/DC power cable, the D-Sub VGA cable connector, the HDMI input, and a 1/8" head phone jack.

A quick look at the side of the ML248 monitor.

Looking at my desktop, the center and far left monitor's are the ML248 LED monitors. The far right monitor is the aging 24" Asus VW246 monitor.

Image Image
The ML248 monitor uses a touch screen for the main menu items as well as the on off power button. At first I was a bit skeptical of the touch style, but after using one of these for over a month now I have had no issues regarding these buttons.

I've never used a multi-monitor setup. But it seems like the bezel would get aggravating. What are your thoughts?

I dont really notice em during gaming mainly because my center screen is identical to your single monitor just I added peripheral vision to my games. during my internet usage I just make my windows fit one screen, as most webby's not optimized for 5760 res's, this also applies to text based programs like note pad, microshaft word, etc. etc. the only time I maximize the screen across all three monitors is when I watch movies (i set the aspect ratio to 16:9) or when I am working in my photo chopping programs with a large number of pictures, even then it is extremely rare when I maximize the windows.

the only true annoyance I have with multi-monitor set ups (both ATI and Nvidia) is when I play my Blue Ray movies so far all of the window based movie players do not like the 5.33:1 ratio and refuses to work until i drop down into single monitor mode. ATI is still having issues with this, Nvidia not sure they fixed this issue last I knew when I ran 2x470's cyberlink refused to work even though Nvidia fixed it in a driver.

think of multi monitor set ups no different from adding 2 extra monitors in extended mode. The only difference between the two is I can combine the three together to span my games across the three.

a nice feature that would be nice to see on monitors would be to remove the side bezel so you could put the monitors right up next to each other. Maybe a little clip to hold them in place.
