chip set vid card combo

Post by Merlin »

Thanks, I figured this would be the case but wasn't sure. It makes perfect sense and now I have to yell at a friend of mine who told me not to buy Nvidia FX series vid cards. He claims their no good or at least not as good as radeon or their TI series. I recently bought a radeon 9600SE based on his advice and it sounds like I should have gone with the Nvidia 5600.

That depends on what mobo you use. seeing as the 250gb just came out i some how think your using an nForce2. the nf2 does not preform differntly with an nvidia graphics card over ati. infact your ati card may have been a better buy then you think. look up a soft mod for a 9600se and you may beable to change your card into a 9600 by just flashing the bios.
