How would i go about getting audio from my computer to my receiver in surround sound, without having to buy an AIW card.
What card would i need, cables, etc....
Keep in mind, my case is roughly 25 feet from my Receiver

I just use a 1/8 to RCA to get sound from my nf7 to my reciver. Now i do use that as a HTPC so its next to my reciver, i dont know how far the signal will travel.

I did that like infinitevalence said using an RCA type cable. I used the one with the red and white on one end and a headphone plug on the other end. Not sure if it was full surround sound, but I ran it into the amp and ran a 5.1 speaker system from it. Sounded quite well actually.
You could probably also use an optical cable too, depending on what soundcard you have and if you have an optical out.
What sound card do you have? The "AIW" (also known as "All-in-Wonder") cards are for video, not audio.

the AIW cards do audio quite well. I know, i set a few up.
I have the onboard sound that came with my Chaintech 9jsc Zenith mobo. Its 7.1, and games sound great on 5.1 headphones.
Optic line is out till i get a more stable job, because i have had my receiver since high school, and there is no optic input on it. Since my tester job with Lucas arts ends next week, i really cant afford something really expensive seeing how i need to find a new job.

Well, you really would LOVE optical input/output, I'm serious. I have a PCMCIA SoundBlaster Augity 2 ZS and it sounds freakin' sweet! It beats the analog crap that I used to use. My receiver is about 3 years old too.
As far as going from regular analog to your receiver, I used two inputs for say my "Tape" or "DBS" receiver options. These inputs accept RCA cables only. I then have a splitter that came with my discman about 9 years ago that goes to your standard 3.5mm stereo jack.
Also, I'm with Blake... what is an AIW sound card? I've never heard of them in audio, only ATi's video cards...?

I use one of these

pluged into a 25 foot RCA cable that is strung over to the receiver.

YEp, that's what I used too, seemed to work well.
I still think the optical would be your best option if it is possible.
