Graphics card question.

Post by shane »

I currently run an ATI Radeon HD 4650. Just wondering if I should upgrade and if there's anything in a descent price range comparable. It runs everything I do at max, my only gripe is it dosent have an hdmi port. I run an asus board an intel quad core and its on a 42" 720p plasma monitor if any of that matters. Thanks

You could always use a DVI to HDMI adapter if you wanted to run an HDMI cable off the card.

If you don't have a pressing need to update then don't. Like the old saying does... If it isn't broke don't fix it!

I'll mostly agree with APOP. A DVI to HDMI adapter will be your cheapest solution if the current GPU fits your needs.

That said, if you want a DX 11 card that is somewhat faster for under $100 a 6670 might be a good upgrade (or a 6570 for a little less).
