AMD APU vs GeForce GTX 550 Ti AMP

both of these are geared to budget PC - Assuming 8GB of 1866mhz ram in the AMD what one would perform better for running games, in general?

i was looking at reviews on this website but nothing puts these APU's with video cards to see where they fall in.

The 550TI is ahead of the APU, but not by a huge margin. We are also using an I5 2500k in these tests which isn't really a budget CPU.

HAWX has the 550 ahead by 20ish %

For me, I honestly don't call the APU a great gaming option. I call it the finally competitive IGP. But if power consumption is a big concern the A8-3850 blows the doors of traditional PC's.
