Random Shutdowns

Post by kylepaddock »

I have been having some random shutdown on boot up issues. Sometimes I can boot up and sometimes one second in it shutsdown. Any idea?

Do you have access to a multimeter to check your voltages? Have you run RAM stress tests? How old is the Windows install? Have you looked for bulging or blown capacitors on the motherboard? Have you checked the CPU temperatures? How old is the TIM on heatsink? This could be a laundry list of things. Have you checked the Windows Event Viewer after a shutdown?

Sounds like a RAM issue to me. Have you ran Memtest86+ overnight?
