I have an email account and for the last day I have received hundreds of messages that say: "Returned mail - see transcripts for details."
The returned mail is from many different addresses and I get one every couple of minutes. In no case are the messages or addresses ones that I have sent.
I use Spybot religiously, and have Kaspersky virus protection. What would cause this? Here is an example of one of the messages:

Change your e-mail password.
Re: email problem- returned mail messages
The important part of the email is:
"The original message was received at Thu, 8 Mar 2012 21:30:05 -0600
from 201-68-4-113.dsl.telesp.net.br [201.68.4.113]
Unless you are in Brazil this is just someone that is using your email address to send email (not your account). Anyone can say they are anyone in email, and when this happens you will get the bounces. Not much you can do about it except wait it out. At work I see this quite often with various customers, it typically only lasts a few days (maybe a week tops) before your email address gets cycled out and they move on to using someone elses.
