Internet Explorer Sound Issue

i have a problem with internet explorer as i have no sound playing through the speakers. everything else works fine but IE stops sound working like it's muted but not as volume mixer says ie has sound on :(
Any help would be great :)

all media types youtube, soundcloud, facebook and bbc iplayer. just the internet only :(

You would be right in guessing that. Personnally I would still change browser though.
