HIS gpu software Iturbo has virus

Post by CoachAub »

I just tried downloading HIS company's new program for controlling your graphics card called I-turbo. I downloaded it from their official site and Norton flagged it and removed it. The virus is named as follows:

WS.Reputation.1

It's a shame, I really wanted to try that program since my CCC software disappeared after my latest upgrade of catalyst drivers. I reverted back and still can't get it. humph...go figure. I like to speed up my fan speed during long gaming periods of use.

Sounds like a FP to me. Other software you can try:
MSI Afterburner

Sapphire TriXX

*EDIT*
Just ran it through totalvirus and here are the results.

Thanks. I was able to reinstall my CCC. I had to go through multiple directories deleting any folder that was titled AMD or ATI. Then I had to delete some registry keys to clean it out completely. The reinstall of 12.6 whql went successfully after that. :)

I just figured since I had a "HIS" card, I'd try their program. Oh well...

That scan was 1 month and 2 weeks old, so I rescanned it - https://www.virustotal.com/file/36bc163 ... 342614380/

Came back the same.

I also downloaded it and ran it on Norton 360 and came back saying it was okay.

It looks like you downloaded iTurbo_v1.1.2.exe and now iTurbo_v1.1.3.exe is out... maybe they cleaned it up
