Just saw the news post come across twitter - http://www.legitreviews.com/news/15400/ - about the above Windows update. I have had it installed since the 10th with no problems on 2 of my systems so is it really necessary to uninstall?

Anyone having problems with it?

Just curious what everyone's opinions are.

It installed automatically on the pc I'm using now on April 10th and hasn't given me any problems that I know of, but I uninstalled it anyway just to play safe.

Same here, no problems but I too uninstalled it just to play it safe. I ran Windows Update after rebooting and it tells me I'm not lacking any updates so MS must have pulled it from their site. Here's what MS has to say about it:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2839011
You receive an Event ID 55 or a 0xc000021a Stop error in Windows 7 after you install security update 2823324 Windows failed to start. A Recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem, To do this, follow these steps:

1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click next.

I may live dangerously and let it on. Most of these problems come from certain combinations of hardware and not many are usually effected. Wonder how many were effected by this to make MS yank it off the update site.

I left it installed on 1 machine and uninstalled it on another. So far I haven't seen any issues. The reason I didn't uninstall it from the second machine is because it took me 10 minutes of looking at hotfix installers to find KB2823324 in the list.

Searched WSUS and just declined it for all platforms, simple enough ;)
