Need Help Choosing Fans

Title says it all really.

My PC needs new and more fans but never having to worry about fans in the past, I'm not sure what to get.

I found these.

I want 4 or 5 fans at 120mm x 25mm
I have £60 to spend maybe £65. Can anyone suggest anything better within the price range?

I have had expensive fans and cheap fans and the main difference to me is the noise. As long as the RPM is the same, the air is the same. Of course the bearings can cause other issues but most of the sleeve fans I used last at least a year so the cost savings is usually worth it for me with how much I change things out anyway.

Single speed? 3-speed?

See if any of these would do for you - I looked at Newegg but you can just put the model into Amazon to see if the UK has them...I dont know if Newegg is the same in the UK or not.

The main reason to pay more money for fans is the quiet factor so you have to decide what is more important, noise or saving money.

Should be able to get 4 of these in your price range, someone is always having a sale...

Quiet fans:
Scythe Gentle Typhoons or Slipstream
Noctua NF-FP12
Silverstone AP121

Not so quiet, but not loud:
Corsair SP120 Performance, look for the "Twin Pack"

Stay away from Enermax Magma fans...I bought three of them 8 months ago, and all three started making loud noises about 5-6 months after being installed. Great fans when they were running smoothly. Contacted Enermax, sent receipt and got nothing back (really wasn't expecting anything for $12 fans).

The Noctua's listed I've heard really good things about.

Been hearing a lot about Cougar fans as well, sounds like they're pretty good.

Previously, I had always gone with Arctic Cooling, and SilenX fans. Always had good luck with them, and most likely the ones I'll look at when I decide to replace these annoying Enermax Magma fans.

Thanks for the replies.

The reason for me picking amazon is that I have a couple of vouchers and I would like fairly quiet fans.

I will have a proper look at the suggested fans when I get home.

What are the fans going to function as?
Where are you planning to mount them?

The Cooler Master SickleFlow fans are quite good in terms of airflow, and they are not extremely loud. From experience, the advertised rating are a little..."over exaggerated."

If you need some fans for CPU coolers / radiators, I'd recommend the new Cooler Master JetFlo's. They are like Corsair's SP fans...but better. I was actually amazed at the build quality and performance of the fans. I've got two JetFlo's currently mounted on my Thermaltake CPU cooler in push-pull (replaced the stock Thermaltake fans).

The fans are all for the case.

I have the commander MS I snow.

If it helps, the case has space for a fan in the front, one at the side (just about lines up with the GPU) one at the rear close to the top and the a double space at the top. I believe there is a gap at the bottom but not interested in using that. Sorry to be long winded.

I am ok with the CPU fan at the moment as I am looking to upgrade soon. Though that will probably be bit by bit now.
