Jackpot or Bad Shot?

So as my i5 3570k is dying 4ghz stable only just and lost dual channel. I went about getting another i5 3570k of which the cheapest I could find was £140. So I looked at the i5 2500k which I could get for £120 (not bad). Then I found someone selling an i7 2600k for £100 and from the pic is in really good condition and the ebay seller has 100% feedback with 1000+ rating. so I brought as is trends for £150+.
Would you say I got a good price for that cpu compared to an i5 3570k? Also would the loss of pci-e 3 hurt my gtx 980 ti performace?
