So my pc randomly turned off and upon reboot I got debug 00 on mobo and that's it. According to manual it mean unused but some others pointed it to cpu. What on earth could have happened?

It could be anything. Does your system run hot? Cooked CPU is the first thing that comes to mind!
Even after letting it cool down it still will not boot?
I'm guessing you can access the BIOS, any info there? Does it even recognize the CPU, show temps, memory...anything???
Also consider setting everything back to Default!
:(

55c 100% load defo means not a heat issue. cant even get into bios. right now I get power on instant power off when I press the power button. if I unplug the 8 pin eps I get debug 00. I have since removed the gpu, ram, both m.2 drives and all peripherals. still getting the same issue. without a backup 9th gen cpu to test my mobo with there is nothing I can do :(

Thinking maybe the MoBo itself if you cant even enter the BIOS!

I am thinking MB also if you can't even get into BIOS.

What MB? - https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.p ... e-solution

Perhaps get the cheapest 9th gen mobo you can find for a test. If the cpu is bad you are only out the cheap mobo and can buy a new 9th gen processor. If the cpu is fine but the mobo is bad then you can get another mobo for your CPU or sell the CPU and get an even newer mobo and cpu.

Sucks that you don't have someone near you that will let you borrow for testing. Good Luck.

IMO, find the cheapest supported CPU from the mobo support list. Even if it's a Celeron. Find one that uses the original release BIOS too if possible. A cheap new board to test isn't a bad idea, but if the BIOS isn't up to date and it doesn't boot, you're still up sh*t's creek.

So I took everyone's advice a purchased the 9100f and I'm typing away with it right now. Tested it in a few games and it works perfectly. So the 9700k has died :(. Intel however have constantly said the cpu is clearly not supported by the asrock z390 phantom gaming 6. so I provided proof of the 9700k out of the system next to the 9700k box with the s/n visible, the 9100f box again s/n visible and a cpu-z screenshot of the 9100f in my system and awaiting reply to see what they have to say.

I'm happy to see you have figured out what the problem was, even though it was not what most of us thought!
I would consider the post KnightRid posted and try to reseat/reset the 9700k and MAKE sure it is a dead and lost cause!
I have heard of and had weird things happen!
Definitely keep on Intel for a new or refurbished replacement, If it turns out to be a dead CPU!
And if they do replace it, maybe consider a different MB! (ASUS :) )

so intel have agreed after posting proof of cpu failure via video and pics they have honoured the rma. However, as I have a p0 revision and they only have r0 revision they wont send replacement and instead have said a refund of distribution price $375 (£300) is all they can refund. I said if that is all you can offer then I would like a replacement as per intel warranty policy.. they have stuck to refund only or cpu will be sent back. is £300 even fair to you guys?

So ...they're not replacing the CPU even after proof? IDK their policies but revision shouldn't matter (other than a BIOS update for the board which you likely have already handled).

Granted the refund will help buy a new one, but still. :toimonster:

I am surprised they will not send out a new or refurbished CPU!
$375(£300) is close to retail price(US) But, it does fall a bit short!

Really sounds like they are not giving you much of a choice! :(

Corporations rule the world. Take it or leave it is the new normal :(

You could hire a lawyer and fight it but for a couple hundred bucks, it just isnt worth it.

I would take the money and then look very hard at AMD!

+1 on AMD!
With an ASUS MB!

while the offering is fair for usa but in the uk they retail for £360+. I told them I would prefer a replacement as the refund is several £'s short of uk costs. They replied we have no stock and have no eta on the stock replenishment. that changed over night from You have a p0 revision so wont send out r0 to no 9700k's? Anyway I told them I would like £360 as that is the minimum here in the uk and would be pushing it at even that price, so they escalated it to the top for a approval. At least they are considering it I guess. Lets see what happens.

I'm hoping for you, that Intel stands behind their reputation as they should!

Also, still pushing for your AMD Conversion! :)

Don't even have the cash for amd conversion. Thankfully though intel replied today and said they will honour a full invoice refund upon proof of an invoice. The invoice they already had unfortunately didn't have the price I paid on it. So I contacted scan computers and they sent a pdf of my i7 9700k and I was shocked to see I spent £409.98 before shipping. lets hope they honour their words of a full invoice refund :)

Thats great that Intel has stepped up and doing a full refund! =D>
£409.98 = $503 USD ......Thats a good start to something new!
Add another $100-$200 to that and your good for a new AMD! :)

Anyway you go, I'm happy to see this work out for you like it should!

haven't any cash for conversion lol. Besides I prefer intel over amd. Had amd in the past and didn't have much luck with them :( anyway today I brought me a new pump that I have wanted for a while and have been saving up for until my 9700k died. Seeing as intel have thus far agreed to the refund I can now just this pump. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aqua-com ... 2z-aq.html
