This may have already been discussed, as a matter of fact I would bet money that it already has, however I'm interested in finding out from all of you what browser is the best to use. I currently use IE and I know, shame on me, but with so many options out there I am interested in knowing which one is king.
Thanks in advance.

Firefox and Opera are the best alternatives. I have not used Opera...I like FF a lot.

Opera's the best currently, try out both Opera and Firefox, see which one you prefer, there aren't really any other good options for windows PC.
If you have problems/questions about either, post back and I'm sure someone here will be able to help you.

I like FireFox the best. Never looked back at IE since then unless a website doesn't like FF.

Firefox is clutch! You wil still need to have IE hanging around though to do Windows update and a few other IE dependent sites.

Time to get rid of that icon on your desktop.

I've used Opera and Firefox.
Opera seemed a bit faster, but Firefox's extensions are priceless.
The IE--->Firefox transition is also the easiest thing I've ever seen on a computer. FF is pretty much IE that doesn't suck.
Oh, when you get Firefox, make sure you get the MouseGestures extension.
I can't live without it after getting used to it.

This thread really took off. I appreciate all the input and have dl'ed FF, with IE sitting in the wings until I get accustomed to FF and most importantly, the wife gets accustomed to it. I really haven't noticed any improvements with regards to load speeds, but from what I have read the security that it provides is well worth the effort of learning how to use it.
As far as "extensions" go, which one's should I dl that are must haves?
Thanks,
Razorbacx

the extentions that i would consider essential:
1. Ad Block plus
2. Forecast fox
3. google Preview
4. IE View
5. All-in-gestures
6. Print it
7. minimize to system tray

i use both because the vast majorty of the world uses IE and to make a site look good you got to support the main users...
If the world was perfect it would all be firefox right now though!
