Ok, I need to replace an old (6+ year old) USB Dazzle vid capture box with a PCI set up

I'm thinking of getting one of these -> http://www.turtlebeach.com/site/product ... re/vidadv/

I like it due to the ports being front, but was looking to see what others are using.

I am looking to stay in the 100-150 range, and not from pinicale if I can help it. I mainly convert home vids.

Well I love my Hauppauge PVR150, and it was under $80! It does not have a breakout box or anything, but it is the best I have seen to date, and I have used Pinnacle, ATI, and a Fusion one ( when it would work ).

If you want a breakout box you could get the USB version, but I really dont recommend it...I have had terrible problems with dropped frames with every USB one I have tried.

Just my 2 cents, and no I dont give change

I ordered some generic tuner from New Egg last year, but they mistakenly sent me that Hauppage PVR150 instead. I complained and sent it back to get the one I originally ordered. But then I looked on their site and realized that the one they sent me originally (Hauppage) is actually much better. Now I'm kicking myself whenever I remember about it.

Canopus ADVC110

I have the ADVC300 but that's a $450 device, the 110 is more affordable.

Here's something more in your price range:

BTW: Pinnacle Studio 10 is not Pinnacle, it's Avid using the Liquid Edition engine.

for 100-150, I would suggest for the hardware based encoding, such as hauppauge 150/250 or even the newer 350. You can also consider ati's hd tv wonder. Also, a lot of newer graphic card actually comes with VIVO feature, I think all the 7xxx cards from nvidia has such feature build in.

Think I'm going to get the hauppauge 150, it WAY better than what I have now and is less that what I planed. this will allow me to get some more RAM.

Thanks for the help.
