I don't know if your wireless card uses some sort of utility with it or not that needs to launch before your connection starts working, since some do. If that's the case, then several steps can be taken to make it start faster. Windows launches HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run programs right after Windows system files finish booting up, so if there is some sort of link manager for your wireless, and the shortcut is not already in there int he registry (like there is some other way it uses to auto-start, through Startup folder or something), then put it there. And if there are other programs there higher on the list that take a while to start up, move the utility to start your wireless higher on the list.
Now, if that still doesn't make it start soon enough, then there is a hackerish solution you can do. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce is used by installation tools to finish an install after a reboot. The registry entries in this folder start up before Windows itself starts up, but get erased from the registry as soon as Windows starts up. So you could write a small program that fires on Windows shutdown and rewrites that registry key.
If there is no link manager or utility that needs to start up before your wireless starts working, then I don't see why it doesn't start with the rest of the hardware before Windows even boots up.

well i tried the wifi program in the start up folder and still didnt work. I didnt want to go in and create a batch file to launch my wifi, should be easier than that. I also remember reading somwhere about windows prefetch files that have something to do with booting files. All and all i just reformatted last night, it needed it anyway. It boots up quick now.
Thank you for the help though. like i said i did try the wifi program in the startup folder and still didnt work. and the heck with creating batch files. LOL
