I am looking at getting a new monitor, Either:

dell 2007wfp

or

Samsung 215tw (which is better than the dell, i know that)

The Samsung is way out of my price range at 550$$ Which is one reason i am looking at the Dell which is 390$$.

However i dont know where to look for coupons because i know they have a bunch of coupons for certain stuff.

and i guess any other suggestion on 20-21in WS lcd monitors would be fine too.

i will be willing to give my current dell 21in CRT to someone who can find me at least a 100$ coupon. SHIPPING ON ME!

I bought two of these for work... Haven't played a game on it (yet). So far I'm perfectly happy with them! These are about $100 cheaper than the ones you are talking about, but I don't know what the spec differences are.

Me and another guy here at work both run Ubuntu on our workstations... and we have been talking off and on for the last month about each bringing in our Unreal Tournament 2004 CDs and playing some days after hours... When that happens, I'll let you all know. :)

well i try and stay name brand for my stuff, but that is a good price. One reason for the other monitors is the expandability with other input options, s-video, componet. etc...

thank you for the links BTW!

They also have good customer service!
I built a pc for a friend last christmas and his BenQ monitor died on him.
Instead of paying to ship a replacement out they sent a courier out to him to take it away and gave him a replacement there and then :)

I think a new 20" monitor is next on my list after I watercool my gfx card.....ohh and add more ram to the lappy...

Dragon_Cooler have you checked out Dell's outlet store?

no i havent. but there has been much talk over the 2007 banding issues and its something i dont think i am going to mess with. I mean its a sexy monitor and i love all the tilt features but i dont want to go through the hassle of returning it if it does get to me. I cant argue the price of 258 though.

So i am doing some more research on getting another 20-21in wide monitor.

the main thing i get with the dell is a future proof technology...(if that makes since) There xx07 modles are HD ready and Blu-ray ready and ready for most 1080i/p settings. However Dells support for thier stuff sucks, they dont care for thier broken products.

Right now after reading all the hoopla and doing over 5 days or research i am thinking the Viewsonic VX2025wm is going to be the best bet for my price range at 300-400$$. I am finding this monitor for as low as 330$ Cheaper than my big 19in LCD. All reviews i have read have said its sexullant!!! Minus the pivoting and hiegth adjustments its one hell of a monitor. I just have to see if there is any place that offers good financing! Being young i need to build up more credit. :)

i just bought an Acer AL1916W (19" WS) for about 270CDN, and it is amazing for the price, no problems what so ever, and beatiful, id say if you can find it, and dont feel like having a Dell or Samsung, get that one

I have a 2407FPW Dell 24" monitor. Best purchase I've ever made for my PC.

lol i dont have 1400 buckaroos or i would!!! Trust me!

Well i splurged and went with the Viewsonic vx2025 monitor.

So far its great!! No ghosting what so ever in my games and the 1680x1050 looks too kick ass in windows and games. The only thing i dont like right now is that it only runs at 60hz at that resolution.

I will have to go get the camera and take some pics!

Samsung Syncmaster 204T

Hi All,

I have this monitor & am very satified with it. I have experienced absoloutely no GHOSTING with this monitor playing Battlefield 2, Call Of Duty 2, Doom3, & Silent Hunter3. This Monitor is fantastic.

I actually paid only $850 for the Dell 24". Got in on a deal on some website a year back. Now I have a corporate account with Dell somehow. lol
