The floppy disk must contain a "oemsetup.txt" file and usually a ".inf" and a ".sys" file........most people forget the "oemsetup.txt" file ;)
Make sure you setup the RAID array before booting into the XP install.
I can't remember the key combo, but yuou get prompted for it after POST.
In the Bios, make sure you have also defined which HDD's you want in RAID.
I have never setup RAID with a DFI board and I'm working from memory here LOL
I think it's under advanced Features on the left in the bios.....
Don't give up on the board yet!!! It will suprise you, once you get used to it!
It's an animal
Let us know how it works out, 'cause I can setup a raid array with 2x 20GB drives here if you need....

sorry for not seeing this sooner!

well after talking with infinate, i decided no raid, i was tired of messing with it. so i got it to get past where i was having a problem loading windows, but now i have a new problem......
THE MACHINE WONT BOOT!!!!!!
I installed windows, restarted and poof nothing. It wont even post so i can see the bios. it gives a beep code of 1 long and 3 shorts. Lets me know that its the video.
my machine will not boot if the vid card is in the first pcie slot but it will if in the second!! Anythoughts???

Make sure you fully clear your CMOS. Unlug the PC, move the CMOS jumper over, move the speaker jumper to "on" (if it isn't already), push the power/reset buttons on the board a few times and wait 10 minutes. That should fully clear it (there is a longer more complex procedure recommended on DFI Street but this works fine).
Remove all but the necessary components including using only 1 stick of RAM and try again.

well i fixed the problem. I got a new motherboard.
I wanted to stick with DFI because the hype yall gave them and i liked the layout.
I ended up ponying up and getting the DFI lanparty SLI ultra-dr expert.
it was either that or an ASUS A8N.
I want to thank everyone for thier help.. ESPECIALLY INFINATE!!!! I cant thank him enough for the time he was at least pretending to enjoy helping me. LOL We both worked through my little patience on troubleshooting the board but i think it was just a bad MOBO.
I am RMAing to ZZF here soon. I'll take pics once i get it all put together with my HYPER PSU nextweek.
