How can you compare intel to amd? I know (well enough) what the all the different intel processors are and mean. when i look at the amd stuff, it is like another language... is there some where a comparison chart or something that shows that this intel is close to this amd or something like that?

To the best of my knowledge it's like comparing apples to oranges. Intel and AMD have taken very diffrent roadmaps to get thier processors to where they are. I might be mistaken. I differ to the experts. But as for a straight MHz comparison that's been obsolete since the introduction of the Athlon processor.

there is one universal compairison Price
there really is no easy way to compair, the best you can do is look at benchmarks of similary price CPUs and find the one that performes best in your applications.
