Anyone have any recommendations for web hosting? I am thinking about making a personal site to put pictures, etc on for family. Here is one I was looking at:

I use http://www.godaddy.com for our site and have been very happy with them. The customer service is top notch if you ever need them.

How about 1&1?

1&1 hosting.

I'm thinking about the beginner package when I start my website.

I went with Bluehost mainly due to the allowed server storage space (I will be uploading a lot of pics!). However, i have received a lot of positive feedback on Lunarpages so if your storage space needs are modest, it would be a good choice. Both Lunar and Blue both have great tools for autobuilding sites, forums, blog pages, etc as well as CGI scripts and other neat tools. Their control panels are very user friendly as well.

Hey,

I can offer you hosting. I have my own server that we fully manage 20 mbps guaranteed 24/7. Its dedicated space that we don't over sale space on. We use it primary for our clients and offer it to people. Our main goal isn't to offer it to the main stream public. I can tell ya it will be faster then on a major shared server.

Visit http://www.bossmanmedia.com for specs on it.
