Quakecon 2006!!!!!

Ya, the more I think about it, I'm leaning towards not going... for a couple of reasons...
1. While I have enough vacation time, I'd like to save it up for a different event I haven't been to before.
2. I'm afraid QCon will be a big disappointment this year since it was just announced 6 weeks before go-time. I doubt they had many sponsors or speakers lined up when they announced it... and I go for the events and booths, not just the BYOC. And I can BYOC here in STL.

If I change my mind suddenly, I'll let everyone know.

Nah it doesn't suck... I believe both Justin and Brian will be in STL during your LAN... Maybe one or both of them would be willing to do something for your next lan.

I'm re-evaluating going to Quakecon... I'd hate to miss the opportunity to meet the forum members... and airfare is still pretty cheap. Time to consult the wifey.

Yes Thor and his sidekick Archangel talked me into going this year. Flying down way too early in the morning. I'm looking forward to this as it's the First Qcon I've been able to make. I got my plane ticket, time off from work, and 2 new harddrives on the way

Fedelis=100%going. number 1830 in registration, and more than 30 people before me didn't apply for BYOC.
Meh friend drew was #64 to register the BYOC and doesn't even want to go, he's gunna see if he can sell his spot to someone desprate.

i'm going as well, meeting up with Rofl-Mic-Lofl, he is a clanmate. this will be the first time we meet in person

i was like #4xxx and i got a spot, but prolly not too long after that did they run out.

i'd sit next to you guys :D don't really know you yet, but that doesnt matter
