Hello I was looking at following one of the system guides that is up on the main legit reviews and I am planning on following the high end amd guide. I was going to switch out the nvidia 7800 gtx card with the radeon x1900 xt video card. This being my first home built computer i'm slightly edgy about making any changes to the guide ;). There isn't any problem with switching out these two cards that I should be aware of is there?
In addition if there is anything that you guys can point out that I should take care to avoid/make sure I do right when I build this thing that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much

NOOOOOOOOOO
OMG - STOP - DONT DO IT
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
just kidding..lol...welcome to the wonderful world of home built computers!!!!! As long as the graphics card will fit in the slot on the motherboard, you can pick whichever you choose - of course choosing Nvidia will get you more girls :p
Make sure you take ALL the packaging material off the products. SOunds wierd, but they have pull tape on cpu's, and I even forgot it one time and was wondering why it got so hot it shut off after a few seconds!!! Did I just admit that, argh...I meant, my wife tried to build a computer one time.....
cable management is for more than good looks, it also helps improve air flow!!!
what else...hmmm....make sure to take a peek at the motherboard book, there may be some jumpers that you need to change depending on your CPU..
Anything else you wanna know just holler - I am not eve na beginner with water cooling, so you would have to ask someone else about that...I still have this thing with water and electricity

while picking nvidia will get you more girls goin ATI will get you a women. They are attracted to the refind nature of ATI's image quality.
IMO for single GPU performance ATI is the clear winner. Their cards run higher image qulaity at higher resolutions than Nvidia.

thankyou for all of your replies and it sounds like I will be getting this compy sometime in the next week or so. As far as the video card goes.... I almost always lean twards' Nvidea myself, but I decided to go and check benchmark tests. I found that the radeon x1900 xt preforms considerably better than the geforce 7800 gtx and they cost the exact same on newegg (last time I checked). That was what tipped me over to the ATI card

. Once again, thankyou very much for the help.
