Because I do not know...can you run an Ultra ATA/133 Hard Drive and a SATA Hard Drive within the same system? Found this deal on Fry's:
http://shop4.outpost.com/search?plusear ... mory:Spot3 and it's just too good to pass up. If I can't I could buy an external enclosure and run the Ultra ATA HD via USB or would that create conflicts?
Thanks,

My dad's computer has a sata drive as a boot drive and a ata drive for data, both internal. They seem to work fine, although the mobo is having fits right now because of something.

yes you can. I used to have it that way. I did have some problems though setting it up correctly with which one is the master and which one is the slave. but got it all figured out and it worked fine with no problems.

wow, too bad they don't have a 160 gb SATA HD at a good price. everything there I've seen has been wildly expensive for anything decent/up to date.

if you keep an eye on slickdeals.com and dealcatcher.com they show deal on harddrives fairly regularly.
