Bad RAM?

I have G.Skill DDR500 RAM that I suspect to be acting up. During one of my overclocking ventures, I pushed the FSB to 260, then 270 without realizing the divider was set to 5/4, which pushed the RAM to an effective speed of over 600MHz! It held into BIOS, then crashed. I repeated this process, not knowing that the K8N Diamond Plus had defaulted to this setting. After about 15 minutes I realized and hoped I hadn't cooked my RAM. Memtest shows errors at overclocked speeds below the rated speed of DDR500 at 3-4-4-8.

Now I'm getting memory errors on exiting any 3D game, iTunes sits and plays but gets random memory errors as well, and my 3D modeling apps feel sluggish. Rebooting is no help. Think I should buy some of this Corsair? I was looking at an OCZ kit but the site that had it for $229.00 with free shipping is out of it now...

Can't afford to wait for an RMA...:(

it's possible one IC didn't like the overclock you did... Memtest the system with one stick at a time and see if you can isolate the bad module.

I found that OCZ RAM...any objections to this kit? Found it on ZipZoomFly...heard they're good (almost as good as NewEgg). Thanks for the memtest advice but I really don't have time for that (or returning bad module(s)) that's why I want to know what I should get NOW...

Spend the money on any performance RAM and overnight shipping. That should cure your now problem.
