Having Problems With Quicktime

Whenever I go to a website that plays a Quicktime video all I get is a Q with a ? in the middle of it. I've got all the latest updates and not sure what to do to fix this issue. I'm running Win XP Pro if that matters. Any help would be much appreciated.

tried a complete uninstall of it and reinstall?

Yes. I unistalled Quicktime and downloaded the latest and still I get the Q with a ? in the center of it.

what browser and site?

IE 6 and any website that has a Quicktime player set as the default player.
