Linksys WRT54GL + Sierra Aircard 860 3g

I have Cingular wireless's 3g data service in the form of the Sierra AirCard 860 PCMCIA and im trying to share this connection using my Linksys WRT54GL 802.11g router (my old router crapped out on me). I have my laptop with the PCMCIA 3g interface card attached to the router via network cable and ive enabled internet sharing on the 3g connection but it does not show up on devices that connect to the router. Can anyone help?
